An estimated 60% of the homeless in Green Bay are families with children. Few local facilities can accommodate the unique needs of sheltering families, so they remain underserved.
Imagine what that means to a family, to a child, to have no place to call home. To have no feelings of security, no means of stability and no sense of real belonging.
Currently, EPH owns or leases fourteen family-sized housing units, with a commitment to respond to evolving needs in the community. A Building Maintenance Committee shepherds the care and maintenance of the homes, and a House Coordinators' Committee assumes the responsibility for furnishing and cleaning, as well as providing start-up household items and hot meals to welcome tenants.
